We work to a Friday changeover for seven night stays, with the addition of a Monday changeover during certain booking periods in order to accommodate weekend breaks and Monday to Friday escapes. A late booking might afford a level of flexibility depending on availability but each request is entirely at the owner’s discretion and with often fixed cleaning times this can be difficult.
Arrival and departure times are set so we have ample time to ready the house to a high standard for the arrival of each guest and my cleaning slot is generally fixed. There are occasions when it may be possible for arrival and departure times to be adapted – such as during quieter times of the year – but each request is at our discretion and taken on a case-by-case basis. Any such request must be requested and confirmed in advance.
During peak times there may be a minimum stay of seven nights. Three night weekend stays and four night mid-week stays are generally available outside of these times.
This is a difficult area but with the master bedroom suite being on the top/2nd floor and the other bedrooms on the ground floor - which have very easy access out right on to the beach and sea - we feel the property is better suited to older children. There is also a lot of (toughened!) glass and stairs and our experience has been the house works better with older children. However happy to discuss this as we recognise some children are more mature and parents quite comfortable with the layout. We will though not accept toddlers or younger.
No, there is only one parking place allocated for the house for a small/medium car only, large 4x4 types will not fit. Please do not be tempted to park in my neighbours spaces or indeed anywhere outside the marked bay as there is a public right of way to the beach. There is CCTV and I will be fined if a vehicle intrudes onto the right of way and this will be passed on to you. You must park very close to the house.
If you have more than one car or a visitor, there is free on-street parking on nearby roads like Nelson Road (but not Island Wall) as well as a nearby public car-park at Keams Yard for a few pounds a day.
We will make sure all our past guests from any of our properties are looked after - just ask. Otherwise the price you pay is the price shown at time of booking.
Only the numbers booked for on the booking form may be in the property or garden at any time as I must adhere to my insurance policy on occupancy. Please enquire.
No, all you need to bring is your clothes and beach towels if you want to swim. The house is our home and is fully equipped with a good stocked pantry with all the essentials including wine. We just ask for a contribution in to the honesty box in the kitchen for anything consumed.
